Alice's Wonderland
Composer David Bobrowitz
Based loosely on the 1865 novel by Lewis Carroll, this piece captures the fun and mystery of Alice's wonderland experiences.
Although the composer's music intentionally does not deal in specifics, we can visualize such characters as White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, Mouse, Dodo, Bill the Lizard, Cheshire Cat, and the other wonderland characters. The driving, opening music signifies that an adventure is underway. The music then gives us the feeling that there are many different encounters for Alice. Fast and driving rhythms give way to moderate speed pizzicato, then slow and dreamlike music, all making for an enchanting musical journey.
