Rock Star Strings is a fun work for young students based on the standard 12-bar blues progression that is the basis for early rock and roll music. Be sure to balance both the upper and lower strings during the many call and response secyions of the piece to guarantee equal volume. Put strong emphasis on downbeats and separate 8th notes throughout the work for clarity.

This composition is lovingly dedicated to Susan Griffin Corcoran, a longtime friend and amazing international traveling nurse who tirelessly works to improve the lives of some of the most poverty-stricken individuals in the world.
